About Emily Botzis
Dr. Emily Botzis is a pediatric hospitalist at the University of Florida Shands Children’s Hospital. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Florida before joining faculty in 2024, where she leads curricular initiatives in evidence-based medicine and night shift education for pediatric residents. She earned her MD from the Medical University of South Carolina and is a born and raised Charlestonian. Her clinical and academic interests include asthma management, simulation-based education, and quality improvement. Dr. Botzis is recognized for her excellence in teaching, receiving awards for her contributions to medical student and resident education.
